Why is Terry White Chemists supporting The Common Good?

Did you know 4 out of 5 Australians are affected by chronic disease, living in pain or fearing for their life?

The Common Good is a foundation of hardworking people who help bring medical research to life, by making sure funding is delivered when and where it is needed.

Terry White Chemists is proud to be supporting such important and lifesaving work. By supporting the next generation of young researchers, we hope to help beat chronic disease.

Terry White Chemists will be supporting Prince Charles Hospital researcher Matthew Linnane, to help find a solution and help thousands of people every year breathe easier and recover faster after experiencing a life-threatening illness.

Congratulations, we hit our first target!!!

What was the project?

"Restoring collapsed lungs - breathing easier in Intensive Care" supported by Terry White Chemists.

Thousands of people every year find themselves in Intensive Care suffering a life-threatening illness - and will experience collapsed lungs. There is no definitive way to best restore the lungs, sometimes it's using a ventilator, other times they are manually inflated.

Physiotherapist Matthew Linnane wants to reduce the uncertainty around this process, and identify the best method to restore the lungs of critically ill patients. Matthew will test and trial a range of methods using mechanical and manual pumps, ventilators and suction to create a procedure which will improve patient recovery. This project has the potential to help thousands of people every week!

We are excited to support the next Common Good project - Dementia

Dementia is now the second biggest killer of Australians, we shouldn’t let this awful disease steal any more of our loved ones. Please donate for 'The Common Good'.
