Bisolvon Dry Oral Liquid 200ml

Bisolvon Dry Cough Liquid provides relief from dry and irritating coughs by suppressing the need to cough.


Description and use

Bisolvon Dry Cough Liquid is suitable for use by most people as it is sugar-free, colour-free, gluten-free and lactose-free.

**Update 1st September 2012 ** The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has carried out a review of the safety and efficacy of registered over-the-counter (OTC) cough and cold medicines for children aged 2-12 years.

As a result of this review, the TGA has concluded that although there are no immediate safety risks with cough and cold medicines, it is recommended Children under 6 years should not be given medicines to treat cough and cold symptoms and should seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist.


Adults and children over 12 years: 5 mL three times a day. This dose can be increased to 10 mL three times a day for the first 7 days.


Use in children 6 – 11 years only on the advice of a doctor, pharmacist or nurse practitioner. Children 6 – 11 years of age: 5 mL three times a day.


Do not use in children under 6 years of age.

Active Ingredients

dextromethorphan hydrobromide.

Store below 25°C.


Do not exceed 4 doses in a 24 hour period. If coughing persists consult your doctor or pharmacist. Use only if cap seal is unbroken. Contains methyl hydroxybenzoate and saccharin sodium. The maximum adult daily dose of 60mL contains at least 18 g of maltitol and up to 6 g of sorbitol. Products containing maltitol and sorbitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
